With computerized point of sale, a database with your previous purchases, and a staff with years of experience in design as well as hands-on framing experience, we also possess the most important skill in ensuring the success of your framing project: we listen. We believe that the process is most effective when it is a collaborative effort melding your vision and our expertise. If you have never done custom framing before, we will be happy to make recommendations, explaining not only what we recommend, but why we recommend it. We believe that the goal of great framing is to focus attention on the image-it's our "Prime Directive," if you will. Starting from this basic tenet, the artwork then becomes the road map that dictates informs the framing solution. Design components such as theme, size, scale, color, contrast and visual presence all flow from the image.
It doesn't follow, however, that there is only one perfect solution for each image, and sometimes breaking the rules can have have spectacular results. Often, the process of experimenting and trying different combinations yields discoveries that would not be achieved simply by dropping a couple of mats and a frame on the image based on a formula. The pleasure that comes from achieving really great design is a satisfaction equaled only by the pride in the impeccable execution of the concept by our talented framing department.
